Iyengar Yoga Teachers are required to attend classes with a Senior Iyengar Teacher for at least 3 years before commencing teacher training.
A further 500 hours of face to face study is required before undergoing a rigorous assessment process to be certified at the minimum teaching level. Once certified Iyengar Yoga teachers remain committed to their practice, ongoing training and professional development and are continually assessed in order to maintain or further their certification.
About Noosa Yoga Studio
Noosa Yoga Centre began in 1988 and is Noosa’s longest established yoga studio. It has been in its current location in Noosa Junction for 20 years. We offer classes 6 days a week based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar who is widely recognized as the world’s foremost yoga teacher and continued to practice yoga daily until shortly before his passing at 95 years of age in August 2014
Our teachers are Noosa’s most experienced Iyengar yoga practitioners who will help guide you to improved health, serenity and expanded awareness. We offer classes for students at all levels. The studio is fully equipped with all the required props including mats, straps, blocks, bolsters and wall ropes.
